Why I am passionate about peer support…

Mental Health is real and it’s a struggle for so many. It’s not only a struggle for the individual, but can be heartbreaking and just as much of a struggle for the family. So, through mine and Vanessa’s experience so far we noticed limited resources, and zero resources for spouses and families so, BTBRT will be introducing a brand new program and resource, Peer Support. This is not counselling, it is a resource and “peer support” program based on our experiences and journey healing, for anyone suffering, struggling and/or wanting to start a conversation about them or their families mental health and don’t know where to turn. We felt helpless, Vanessa felt unsupported, I was scared for my life, it was ripping apart our family and we had no idea what to do. So now, we want to fill that gap! I have also adopted many healthy habits on my healing journey and I continue living a healthy, purposeful life and can show you how to do the same including mindfulness, fitness, nutrition, time management and more! and can help you do the same! We’re going to be the change we want to see and help the culture and stigma around mental health! Let’s start the conversation.
